The Buffalo Sabres hosted their Hockey Fights Cancer night on November 7th, 2014 against the Edmonton Oilers. The Sabres wore purple jerseys and used purple stick tape to commemorate the night - note that the NHL later switched to lavender, but was originally purple, for their cancer awareness events.
